The study aimed to make and test sachets that include Giloy powder as a new way to treat acid peptic disorders. Collected giloy stems were authenticated, shade-dried and made into fine powder. A standardized procedure was made up using sucrose, lactose, aerosil, citric acid and saccharin sodium to support taste, smooth flow and lasting stability. The mixture was measured into 7 g sachets and packages were heat-sealed to protect them from moisture.
Tests on the sachets included pH (6.2 ± 0.2), angle of repose (28.4° ± 1.5°), bulk and tapped density (i.e., 0.47 and 0.58 g/mL respectively), Carr’s index (18.96%), Hausner’s ratio (1.23), loss on drying (5.2%) and total ash content (7.8%). Each parameter fell within set standards which demonstrates that the tablets have appropriate quality, are reliable and can be taken by mouth.
This research shows that Giloy sachets are a handy, uniform and comfortable herbal method for dealing with acidic problems in the gut. Their way of producing medications supports better compliance, allows for precision dosing, increases stability and fits the global move toward safer, herbal treatments.
